• be able to answer difficult questions
• complete adoption checklists and respond to answers as needed
• discuss possible options
• refer difficult clients to appropriate personnel
• work with front desk staff

An adoption specialist assists the front desk team with the adoption of animals from the shelter.to their new, permanent homes.
