Reason for surrender | My dog is sick. He got a stone bladder surgery on 03/2022 . He started shedding his hair and started to have like some kind of patches and heavy dandruff. I have changed his food and I have taking him to 3 different vets. 2 in Banfield and one in Pine Castle Animal hospital were blood, stool and a culture of that shedding was done but no one knows what he has. In the picture below you can see the dust and how the crate gets every day. Every day we clean it and it gets like that twice a day. He has been given antibiotics, shampoo, topical cremes and antifungal medicines and nothing helps. The other problem is that I have to have him in his cage because I have asthma and allergies and I cannot have him around the house with all that dust coming out of his body and it breaks my heart. We give him baths and 2 days later he start dusting and smelling super bad. Every morning he gets up with a lot of secretion in his eyes because of the dust or flakes his body creates. We bathe him every 4 days and its not enough. Also, because he has lost hair in his legs he have develop ulcers that we have to cure often and he has not grown hair enough to stop those ulcers from peeling again. Some one called me like a month ago to take him there but I told her that I was going to try home food and benadryl to see if it was allergy related but nothing worked. In top of it 3 days ago we duiscovered a mas growing in his belly and I dont know is cancerous or what it is. It breaks my heart to say but he is suffering and because of his condition he does not have a good quality of life and also his dusting is having me having asthma episodes and alergies. I want for him to get better but he's being like that for more than a year. Please call me to discuss his options. Thank you. |
