No yelling, please

No bluffing: ask if you don't know

No negative remarks in front of or to the public

No negative social media remarks or commentaries. Even well intentioned posts can be misinterpreted or taken out of context, so be thoughtful and use caution when posting online.

No use of inappropriate language

No use of cell phones either texting or calling when you are working with an animal or in public areas of the shelter where you are visible to guests.

No photography in the shelter without permission.

No smoking, vaping, or chewing tobacco is allowed inside the OCAS buildings, shelters, or animal areas. Individuals must be at least 20 feet from a building or animal area.
Any team member who engages in any prohibited conduct may be subject to dismissal. We appreciate that working with animals evokes powerful emotions, but when differences occur, we ask they be handled in a respectful and appropriate manner. If there is a situation that you can't resolve, please do not hesitate to get the assistance of a supervisor.
Any team member who is found to have falsified any records, either on paper or online are subject to dismissal and should have no expectation of receiving any official documentation pertaining to volunteer work.
